The "Current Perspectives on Congenital Coronary Anomalies" is an international meeting which is held on September 9, 2022 in Padova, celebrating the 800th anniversary of the University of Padova, the oldest medical school in Europe, founded in 1222.
In the historical Archivio antico del Bo', world renown experts on congenital anomalies on coronary arteries will be discussing extensively anatomy, pathology, innovative imaging with Echocardiography, CT scan and MRI, surgical techniques and, most importantly, the clinical implications of coronary abnormalities on risk of heart failure and sudden death, and latest findings in new heart failure management and assist devices.
This is even more dramatic since most often these congenital anomalies show their dangerous effects in children and young patients.
In a one day full immersion meeting, in the morning experts will discuss about other types of congenital coronary anomalies, such as Anomalous aortic origin of coronary arteries (AAOCA), and sport cardiologists and surgeons will debate on implication of such abnormality on physical performances, technical issues for surgical repair and impact of such disease in the population.
In the afternoon, the Pathological Specimens and unusual clinical cases will be discussed at the end of the day, with the expertise of the Entire Faculty.
